Job summary

Lift Truck Center, Inc. is seeking a Service Writer to maintain professional relationships with customers, prepare estimates, and coordinate repairs with the service team.

The role emphasizes accurate cost reporting and timely communication between customers, technicians, and sales staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year certificate from a college or technical school or at least five years related experience and/or training in the subordinate position.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of invoice/estimate components (Bill To, Ship To, Sale Price, Sales Tax)

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain service estimates and track paperwork using Softbase system.
• Convert estimates to work orders and schedule repairs with Dispatcher.
• Translate customers' estimates to non-technical descriptions in thorough cost reports.
• Provide information pertaining to repairs and quotated transactions with urgency.
• Assist Dispatcher and Service Administrator and back up when needed.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and coworkers; meet deadlines.
