Qualifications

• 5 years of recent experience in a supply chain role with credit management.
• Manufacturing sector experience is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of export documentation: freight booking (air/sea), letters of credit, bills of lading, packing lists, origin certificates, embassy legalization.
• Extensive understanding of MRPII-based enterprise systems.
• Understanding of client and supplier credit management principles.
• Practical knowledge of purchasing, sales ordering and invoicing processes.
• Self-motivated, driven, reliable and proactive.
• Able to multitask, flexible, and perform under pressure.
• Strong relationships with management, colleagues, suppliers and clients.
• Values teamwork, passion, professionalism, commitment, honesty and respect.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to negotiate, solve problems and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing process to meet customer needs.
• Raise and process invoices and deliver to clients on time.
• Ensure supplier performance data is available for pricing.
• Control freight costs across inbound, outbound, local and international shipments.
• Track spare parts backlog.
• Keep branches informed of shipping details.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Oversee staff management processes including performance reviews and recruitment.
• Ensure orders are accurate and delivered within timeframes to clients.
• Ensure invoicing of orders within designated timeframes.
• Ensure freight/consignment orders meet destination country regulations.
• Coordinate with Finance on credit history, payment terms, LC requirements.
• Sign off on purchase orders for stock to support sales and MRP-generated orders up to $15,000.
