Job summary

Vital Records Control (VRC) in Lafayette, LA seeks a dedicated Driver to transport records and fulfill delivery requests with care and accuracy. You will operate vans or box trucks, follow routes, and maintain timely service while observing federal and state transportation laws and company policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, ability to pass MVR and background checks, and random drug screening. CDL may be required depending on vehicle type.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• MVR Check.
• Background check.
• Must pass random drug screens.
• Must carry a cell phone for constant communication.
• Strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Overtime and availability around the clock including holidays.
• Strong directional awareness and navigational skills.
• Commercial Driver’s License, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Drive vans or box trucks to customer locations for service needs.
• Report to work on time prepared to perform the duties of the position.
• Meet department productivity and quality standards.
• Receive, comprehend, and respond appropriately to direction.
• Work with customers to fulfill customer service requests.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or DOO.
• In inclement weather, report to work two hours before regularly scheduled time to allow for delays and to budget time to put tire chains on company vehicles, if necessary.
