Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Manager - Master Data Governance to oversee day-to-day governance of customer master data. You will implement policies, standards, and data quality rules while driving continuous improvements across business processes.

You will coordinate with business, IT, and data stakeholders, monitor KPI performance, and coach staff to sustain governance practices. Leadership and strategic collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, business, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in master data management, data governance or data operations.
• Informatica Customer 360 knowledge is preferred.
• 3+ years working with Informatica MDM and data solutions.
• 1+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of data concepts, data quality, and enterprise models.
• Leadership and project management across multiple initiatives.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage complex systems.
• Leadership presence with ability to communicate vision (5+ years preferred).
• Solid analytical and interpersonal skills; strong communication.
• Experience in facilitating multidisciplinary teams through projects.
• Change management experience and coaching abilities.
• Ability to identify training needs and ensure execution.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and realize business outcomes through governance of customer data.
• Coordinate master data governance activities and embed governance into operations.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement governance principles and roadmaps.
• Maintain data standards, quality rules, controls, and stewardship practices.
• Coordinate data stewards, analysts, and technical partners to support governance.
• Track and report governance KPIs and data-quality metrics.
• Support control activities for external auditors where applicable.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen stewardship workflows.
• Seek opportunities to extend data capabilities with new entities and attributes.
• Present recommendations on programs, hardware, and software changes.
• Stay current with advances in technology and data governance.
