Job summary

Texana Bank seeks a Universal Banker to handle teller transactions and new accounts while promoting bank products. You will deliver prompt, friendly service and maintain knowledge of the full product line to support customers and cross-sell effectively.

You will balance accounts, process wires, answer inquiries, and assist with notary and safe deposit duties while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service and cross-selling experience.
• At least 1 year of teller experience.
• Ability to enter numerical data on computer with speed and accuracy.
• Good mathematical aptitude to facilitate daily balancing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Processes teller transactions according to policies and procedures.
• Adheres to audit, security, and bank regulations.
• Explain services and assist customers in selecting and opening accounts.
• Perform servicing duties: greet customers, handle inquiries, issue checks and debit cards, wire transfers, balance accounts, and cross-sell products.
• Explain bank services and charges to customers.
• Perform filing, copying, mail handling and general clerical tasks.
• Open/close safety deposit boxes and assist with inventory for deceased customers.
• Observe suspicious behavior and report it; follow bank procedures during emergencies.
• Provide notary public service if needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
