Job summary

The Bank & Trust in Texas is seeking a Universal Banker to provide comprehensive banking services as a teller and personal banker. You will open and modify accounts, cross-sell products, and deliver tailored financial guidance.

You will process deposits and withdrawals, manage the cash drawer, and ensure accuracy and compliance with banking regulations. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of customer service and/or cash-handling experience.
• Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office, including Teams.
• Basic math and cash handling accuracy.
• Ability to read, count, and handle money with precision.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Open new accounts, make changes to existing accounts, and actively cross-sell additional banking products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Accurately execute a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, and cash advances.
• Daily balance the cash drawer, reconcile discrepancies, maintain optimal cash levels, and report counterfeit currency per procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service based on E2 practices, ensuring courteous and timely interactions.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and bank policies, including BSA-AML compliance.
