Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Customer Centric Engineer to tackle high-priority customer issues across the Core CRM Platform. You will work with customer support engineers, using Java on the server and JavaScript in the browser to troubleshoot and resolve escalations.

You will pair with engineering to improve debugging tools and infrastructure services, while analyzing usage and sharing insights across teams. Strong collaboration and communication are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical experience with at least 2 years in Java development.
• Strong interaction skills with customers, support teams and management on high-profile issues.
• Unparalleled debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to learn quickly and work in a fast, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including bug/explanation documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, server and cloud architectures.
• Deep understanding of DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Background in Java and JavaScript; solid RDBMS understanding.
• Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ/VSCode.
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve critical customer escalations using Java, JavaScript, databases, and Web API/UI skills.
• Provide timely, clear information to customer-facing and internal teams.
• Develop debugging tools and improve infrastructure services like logging, monitoring, and alerts.
• Analyze platform usage and share metrics with engineering to drive improvements.
