Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure in East Granby, CT is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to strengthen customer relationships, process orders accurately, and support commercial transactions with outstanding service.

You will coordinate with Sales, Finance and Operations, verify pricing per guidelines, prepare order acknowledgements, attend production meetings, and help resolve issues across orders, shipments, invoicing and product quality.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial relationships with existing accounts and ensure customer database accuracy.
• Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner while coordinating with Sales, Finance, Operations, and other internal departments.
• Verify pricing and order terms using established pricing guidelines and published pricing sheets.
• Prepare and distribute Sales Order Acknowledgements and other required customer documentation.
• Attend production meetings and collaborate with Operations to monitor order status, communicate schedule changes, and escalate critical customer concerns.
• Process customer credits and complaints in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to resolve issues related to purchase orders, shipments, invoicing, and product quality.
• Develop product knowledge to provide accurate quotations and support customer inquiries.
• Serve as a backup for other Inside Sales team members as needed.
• Participate in Lean/5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, safety, quality, and government sanction screening requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO Quality System procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
