Job summary

Rural King is seeking a friendly Cashier to provide accurate, efficient service while creating a positive customer experience. This front-end role involves handling cash and processing transactions, assisting customers, and promoting Rural King programs.

You will work on the sales floor, greet customers, and help maintain clean, stocked checkout areas. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a collaborative store environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using POS systems and other technology.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Answer customer questions and provide basic product information.
• Educate customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Respond to store calls using professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
