Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Cashier to deliver outstanding customer service and manage checkout transactions. You will greet customers, process purchases, explain loyalty programs, and assist with questions in a fast-paced rural store setting.

You'll support cash handling, returns, and policy adherence while maintaining a clean, organized front area and providing friendly, proactive service to shoppers.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills and a desire to help others.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
• Proficiency in adapting communication style and tone to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with transactions.
• Process transactions accurately and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Follow cashier scripts and educate customers on loyalty program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Execute cash management, returns, layaway, and exchange policies with accuracy.
• Provide product information and assist with inquiries and recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of front area, stock areas, and restrooms as needed.
