Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Cashier/Checker in Watertown, WI to provide outstanding customer service and accurate, efficient checkout support. You will engage customers, operate the POS system, and ensure adherence to cash handling and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling multiple tender types, processing transactions, and staying informed about ads and promotions while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle varied tender types per policy
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions and follow safety regulations
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; participate in safety practices
• Inspect equipment and report repairs; create welcoming environment for customers
• Follow local, state and federal laws and store policies
• Handle high-paced and sometimes stressful situations professionally
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
