Job summary

Five Star Bank in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Sales & Service Associate to deliver personalized service, process daily banking transactions, and help customers achieve their financial goals through smart solutions. This regular full-time role requires a proactive, customer-focused mindset and the ability to work across branches.

You will open accounts, promote digital tools, ensure compliance, and participate in community outreach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of customer-facing experience, preferably in banking, retail, hospitality or sales.
• Strong service-and-sales balance with a customer-first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with a consultative approach.
• Proficient with digital tools and helping customers navigate technology.
• Team player, detail-oriented, self-motivated and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and service requests with accuracy.
• Provide personalized financial guidance to help customers reach goals.
• Open personal and small business accounts and support lending applications.
• Educate customers on online banking, mobile apps, and ITMs.
• Represent the bank at local events and branch outreach.
• Refer complex needs to Relationship Bankers or partners.
• Maintain compliance with banking policies and training.
• Support secure cash handling and daily branch operations.
