Job summary

F&M Bank in Defiance, Ohio is seeking a qualified bank teller to join our team. You will handle transactions, advise customers, and process deposits and withdrawals with accuracy and courtesy.

You will identify customer needs, promote products, refer to branch specialists, and ensure compliance with bank policies. This is an on-site, full-time role with varying hours Monday through Saturday, requiring reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or related experience.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Cash-handling experience.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Handle account transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and opening and closing accounts.
• Identify customer needs, provide information on new products and services, and refer customers to branch representatives.
• Meet and exceed referral production goals as set by retail leadership.
• Reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift, count and package coins and currency, turn in any excess or damaged currency to head teller.
• Track, record, report, and store transactional information and special requests.
• Provide a high level of customer service, providing answers and assistance with a smile.
• Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulatory compliance that apply to position.
• Other duties as assigned.
