We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic business leader to join our dynamic team leading our Ingredient & Foodservice Dry Pasta business. This role has responsibility for managing the P&L and budget to ensure we meet our annual plan and long-term strategic objectives in these categories. This Business Unit Manager will develop short- and long-term strategies, new product platforms, packaging, and new item commercialization in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position will be responsible for commercialization process management, responding to sales proposals, developing bid submissions, and owning pricing decisions.

- Salary : $93,000 to $158,000 annually, with additional bonus potential, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day customer relationships and serve as the primary contact for customer buyers.
- Provide management and oversight to the broker network where applicable.
- Proactively sell the Winland value proposition, customizing it for each customer.
- Develop and manage demand forecasts, addressing gaps to the Customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Own all business inputs to create and deliver the category-level Customer AOP.
- Deliver the customer and region AOP.
- Develop sales and pricing strategies aligned with Winland’s key initiatives.
- Enhance profitability at the customer/region level.
- Identify whitespace opportunities through collaboration with Insights and Analytics and develop annual plans.
- Work with commercialization teams on innovation, packaging, and assortment opportunities.
- Analyze customer data to identify actions that improve business performance.
- Develop and execute customer trade spend strategies, managing trade spend within Winland’s system.
- Provide strategic and financial recommendations for bids, trade management, and customer growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure plan delivery.
- Develop bid strategies for optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate with the Product Portfolio Management System to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Deliver improvements based on scorecard metrics.
- Engage leadership to support customer initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce damages and mitigate product obsolescence risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or related fields.
- Broker or Key Account Management experience with large or multiple accounts.
- Category Leadership experience.
- Ability to translate insights into strategic account plans for growth.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making.
- Solid financial acumen, understanding P&L and pricing implications.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SAP, SharePoint, MS Office.
- Strong negotiation and management skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and communicate effectively across teams.
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
