Job summary

Disneyland Resort is seeking a Custom Sewing Operator to work behind the scenes with Entertainment Parade Maintenance to fabricate items such as upholstery, draperies, awnings, flags and banners for show quality. The role requires 5+ years in the trade, completion of trade/art school, and the ability to read patterns and operate industrial sewing machines.

Shifts cover 1st-3rd with 24/7 operation; pay ranges from $28.13 to $35.92 per hour under the California CBA, with standard benefits

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience in this trade.
• Completed a trade school, art school, or formal training.
• Ability to read and understand patterns and prints.
• Experience with industrial sewing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sew upholstery, draperies, awnings, umbrellas, weather covers, flags, pennants, banners.
• Set correct tension and choose the proper thread for the product.
• Complete and prepare products for installation including tagging and storage.
• Read and understand sophisticated plans and prints to complete projects.
