Job summary

Disneyland Resort is seeking a Custom Sewing Operator to support Parade Maintenance by fabricating items necessary to maintain show quality. The role involves sewing upholstery and banners, using industrial machines, and reading patterns.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience, completed trade/art school training, and the ability to work varied shifts including holidays. The pay rate in California is $28.13–$35.92 per hour, with potential benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial sewing equipment (e.g. single and double needle, serger, binding, and tackers).
• Sew fabrics from the lightest sheers to the heaviest vinyls, including by hand when required.
• Cut and mark patterns; follow cutters' instructions for assembly.
• Set grommets and button snaps; maintain machine settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication with vendors, cast members, and Disney management.
• Full availability Sunday–Saturday for all shifts and holidays per management.
• Completed a trade school, art school, or formal training.
• 5+ years of professional experience in this trade.

Responsibilities

• Sew upholstery, draperies, awnings, umbrellas, weather covers, flags, pennants, banners, and related products.
• Set correct tension and choose proper thread for each product.
• Prepare products for installation with proper tagging and storage for pickup.
