Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS PDCA division seeks a Custom Order Designer to work onsite at the Fayetteville, NC facility. The designer provides mechanical design and documentation support for Low Voltage MCC products, collaborating with engineers and manufacturing teams using CAD and design software to produce manufacturing documentation and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree or higher in a related engineering/technology major with at least 2 years relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience includes use of CAD software to create engineered drawings and understanding design/manufacturing of MCCs and package control assemblies.
• Relocation is not offered; within 75-mile radius of Fayetteville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze schematic diagrams to determine mechanical design requirements and layouts.
• Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
• Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD and design software; interpret work packages to create manufacturing information.
• Coordinate with various levels of the organization to meet project schedules.
• Conduct BOM reviews for editing and accuracy; handle multiple projects simultaneously.
