Job summary

Foreman Builders, Inc. in Winchester, VA is seeking an experienced Selections Coordinator/Estimator to guide clients through material and finish choices while developing accurate cost estimates for custom home projects.

You will coordinate with vendors, track deadlines, and ensure selections stay within budget and design intent, supporting project managers and maintaining clear client communications throughout the build process.

Qualifications

• Experience in custom home building, residential construction estimating, or interior selections/design.
• Strong understanding of building materials, finishes, and construction sequencing.
• Comfortable reading plans and specs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills — you’ll be a key point of contact for clients.
• Proficiency with estimating/PM software (Buildertrend experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through material and finish selections (flooring, fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, exterior finishes, etc.)
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, takeoffs, and budgets for custom home projects
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to confirm pricing and lead times
• Track selection deadlines against the construction schedule to avoid delays
• Maintain accurate documentation in our project management system
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure selections align with budget and design intent
