Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a store associate at our Sterling, VA location to help customers in framing their art and to maintain a welcoming, well-stocked store. You will assist shoppers, operate the cash register, and support framing orders with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, building customer relationships, and contributing to omnichannel processes. The role requires basic computer and measuring skills and prior retail or sales experience.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience selling products and/or services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance to laws and requirements.
• Build relationships with customers while creating custom framing solutions and deliver sales/results.
• Complete framing orders with high quality and on time.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas.
• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop and find products.
• Operate cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
