Job summary

WMJ Services is seeking a Custodian Team Lead for the 2nd shift in Big Rapids, MI. The role oversees cleaning operations, supervises a small team, and ensures safety and quality on the 2nd shift (1:00pm–9:30pm).

Starting pay rate ranges from $17.50 to $19.50 per hour with benefits including PTO, holiday pay, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Must pass a background check and can lift up to 25 pounds while using janitorial equipment.

• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and operate cleaning equipment.
• Must pass background check.

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of the Custodial Team Lead:

• Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred but not necessary
• Strong organizational skills
• Self motivated
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift Time: 1:00pm to 9:30pm

Starting Pay Rate: $17.50 to $19.50/hour (based on previous experience)
