Job summary

Rutherford County Schools at East Rutherford High School in Bostic, NC is hiring a Custodian/Bus Driver for a full-time, benefits-eligible role. The position requires a valid B license with endorsements, a HS diploma or GED, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a HS diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Class A or B license with P and S endorsements.
• Must pass background and pre-employment drug screen.
• Vision and hearing requirements must be met.
• Insurable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the location daily (sweeping, mopping, dusting, waxing, polishing).
• Move or arrange furniture as needed.
• Wash windows and walls as necessary.
• Replenish tissue, towels and soap in restrooms, kitchens and classrooms.
• Empty trash and recycle materials; keep area tidy.
• Lock/unlock doors as required and report damages to supervisor.
• Assist in operating/heating and air equipment and ensure safe driving when bus duties are included.
