Summary

Job Description

Responsible for delegating and monitoring custodial staff’s work assignments. Supervising and training staff, and ensuring all public areas are cleaned and maintained according to company and departmental standards. Areas include casino floors, hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms.

Job Duties

• Prepare and distribute assignments; adjust as needed during shifts based on business needs.
• Inspect and approve cleaning of designated areas.
• Handle personnel matters including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Check cleaning aids and equipment; ensure they are operational and meet safety standards.
• Complete work orders for maintenance; follow up for completion.
• Maintain cleanliness, remove trash and debris.
• Responsible for property cleanup, including bio-chemical materials.
• May perform duties of attendant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, including the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of similar experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, and floor scrubbers.
• Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Physical requirements include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals used by the department.
• Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including noise and second-hand smoke.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
