Part‑Time Maintenance Custodian

Performs various custodial tasks to ensure the cleanliness of college facilities.

Position Overview

Hourly rate: $13.00 per hour. 19 hours per week. Location: South Campus, Van Alstyne, TX.

Work Schedule

• 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.
• 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday.
• Schedule may change during summer; total hours remain 19 per week.
• Overtime may be required for special events.

Responsibilities

• Performs general custodial duties of all buildings, including emptying, sanitizing, and relining trash receptacles.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and fixtures; refills disposable items.
• Vacuum rooms with carpeting.
• Strips, scrubs, seals, and buffs tile floors.
• Cleans carpets.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned (5%).

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills, including the ability to use a computer for online training.
• Moderate physical exertion required, including walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, stretching, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
