Job summary

State of Wisconsin's Department of Health Services seeks a Custodian Lead at SWC in Union Grove. The role leads custodial staff, trains custodians, and ensures cleaning and safety standards while coordinating supplies and minor equipment maintenance.

A strong focus on teamwork and adherence to procedures is required. Work hours are 6:30am–3:15pm with a rotation that includes every other weekend; a weekend differential is paid.

Qualifications

• Experience with custodial or housekeeping work including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including weekends/holidays.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet state policy requirements.
• Experience providing customer service by phone or in person.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook for email communications.

Responsibilities

• Conducting on-the-job training for custodians.
• Requisitioning and distributing supplies and materials.
• Relaying instructions from the Buildings/Grounds Supervisor.
• Determining the need for special project work and basic maintenance on cleaning equipment.
