Job summary

County College of Morris is seeking a custodial staff member to perform routine cleaning across campus buildings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, as well as rest room maintenance and light bulb changes.

Responsibilities include assisting with special events, responding to work orders, and winter safety tasks such as snow/ice removal. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of custodial experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency desirable.
• Six months – one year experience in custodial maintenance.
• Ability to operate equipment: carpet extractor, rotary floor machine, high speed floor machine for spray buffing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning in campus buildings: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and light bulb changes.
• Maintain rest rooms: clean walls, sinks, fixtures, toilets and mirrors; replenish towels and soap.
• Assist with events and setups; respond to work orders from Custodial Supervisor.
• Clear snow and ice from entrances, walkways, patios and steps; apply calcium chloride as needed.
