Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care invites applications for a Custodian in the Environmental Services department on campus in Iowa City. This role provides a safe, clean environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff with a full-time, night-shift schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, including rotating weekends and holidays.

You will perform general cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and equipment operation to support a first-rate hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Experience in healthcare settings and working with the public is desirable.
• Experience using cleaning equipment.

Position may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk.

This position is performed fully on campus.
