Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care’s Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian I to provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff on campus in Iowa City. This full-time, on-campus position reports to Environmental Services and offers a competitive benefits package.

Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am with rotating weekends and holidays.

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.

• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
• Clean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom supplies
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors

This position is performed fully on campus.

We as a department are responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of over 2.8 million square feet of the hospital. The department provides support through 24/7 operations.
