Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• General knowledge of school heating system operation and maintenance.
• Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Changes in work methods or procedures are indicated by a supervisor and work is reviewed through inspection for cleanliness standards.
• Performs heavier work in cleaning and maintenance tasks in school buildings; moves furniture and supplies as needed.
• Washes windows, vacuums, cleans fixtures, and cleans restrooms and common areas.
• Reports damages or needs for repairs to supervisor.
• Performs related duties such as cleaning sidewalks and grounds and, when required, grass cutting and trimming.
• Attends training activities to improve performance.
• Operates and maintains school bus when required; follows route schedules and safety regulations.
