Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with other people.
• Ability to read and write.
• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• General knowledge of school heating system operation and maintenance.
• Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Must obtain and maintain CDL bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Performs heavier cleaning tasks such as stripping, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and spray buffing.
• Moves and arranges furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Cleans windows, sills, woodwork and vacuums carpets; cleans restrooms and restock supplies.
• Reports damages or need for repairs to supervisor.
• Drives a bus when required and maintains route schedule; adheres to safety regulations.
