Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• General knowledge of school heating system operation and maintenance.
• Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Heavier work in stripping, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and spray buffing in school buildings; moves furniture, equipment, supplies as needed.
• Washes windows, sills, woodwork; vacuums carpets; spot cleans carpets and walls; cleans light fixtures.
• Cleans restrooms, replenishes tissue, towel and soap containers; replaces bulbs; empties waste receptacles.
• Reports damages or need for repairs to supervisor; performs duties related to cleaning sidewalks and grounds.
