Job summary

The Town of Groton Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a 40 hour/week Custodian I position. The pay range is $21.29 to $30.40 based on experience.

The Custodian I position performs routine building cleaning duties for municipal buildings and all other duties as required, including mowing and snow clearing. High School Diploma or equivalent and driver license are required; must also be able to make basic math computations and follow oral and written instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have driver license and be able to perform basic math computations.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must have skill in use of hand and power cleaning tools.
• Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, and seldom lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine building cleaning duties for municipal buildings.
• Mowing and snow clearing as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Department.
