Job summary

The Town of Natick Facilities Department currently has immediate openings for Part-Time Custodians to work evening shifts, up to 19 hours per week, with schedules between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work evenings (3:00 PM–8:00 PM).
• Successful completion of CORI/SORI background check, fingerprinting, and pre-employment physical including drug test.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing, carpet cleaning, dusting, polishing, and window cleaning.
• Trash removal and recycling as assigned.
• Snow removal (on- and off-shift, as needed).
• Assisting with regular and periodic maintenance.
• Event set-up and break-down.
• Performing other cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Tactfully interacting with all building occupants.

Evening Work Hours

Worked schedules are varied and flexible and may be scheduled between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, (not to exceed 20 hours per week) depending on operational needs and facility assignments. Candidates must be flexible and available to work varying evening hours within this time range.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing, carpet cleaning, dusting, polishing, and window cleaning
• Trash removal and recycling as assigned
• Snow removal (on- and off-shift, as needed)
• Assisting with regular and periodic maintenance

• Additional responsibilities as required

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license required

• Manual dexterity
• Demonstrated initiative in recognizing and completing needed tasks

Compensation

Starting Pay: $23.2377/hour (Step 1). The full pay scale ranges from $23.2377 - $28.4385 per hour, with step increases outlined in the union agreement.
