Job summary

The Custodian position at SBM Management Services, LP is responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. Responsibilities include janitorial duties, hazardous waste handling, operating motorized cleaning equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.

Shift is Mon - Fri (Alternated Saturdays Mandatory), 1:00PM to 9:30PM, with a pay rate of $15.50–$16.50 per hour. No formal education is required, though 3–6 months of training or experience is preferred; forklift certification may

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
