Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. Responsibilities include hazardous waste handling, operating cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety rules. The role requires teamwork and professional interaction with supervisors and customers.

Shift runs Monday–Friday, 4pm–12am, with $18.20–$19.20 per hour. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Work in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
