Job summary

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require valid driver’s license; safety and task-training certification; forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual a plus; ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Alert others to risk behavior and respond appropriately.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Communicate with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages.
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and the environment.
