Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned, including hazardous waste handling and the use of personal protective equipment.

The role requires basic training (3–6 months preferred) and a team-oriented mindset. Schedule: Tue-Sat, Sun-Thurs 2PM–10:30PM; pay: $16.77–$17.77 per hour. A professional appearance and reliable conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months training or experience preferred
• No specific education requirement
• Forklift certification may be required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Handle Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
