Job summary

SBM Management Services Puerto Rico, LLC is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. Responsibilities include daily janitorial tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and performing hazardous waste handling per safety protocols.

The role requires basic training (3–6 months preferred) and may require a valid driver’s license and forklift certification. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this position.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Certificates/Licenses: May require a valid driver’s license; safety training certification; forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge/Skills: Bilingual a plus; ability to read and interpret instructions; strong verbal and written communication; knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; safe use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform daily tasks per schedule.
• Handle hazardous waste: collect, classify, sort, store, ship/receive, label, clean, recycle, package.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety rules and company procedures.
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers.
