Job summary

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club of the H-F Park District is seeking a dedicated Building Custodian for evening shifts to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming facility. You will lead the night crew, set up rooms for rentals and programs, and perform routine maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning all areas, addressing safety issues, responding to spills or emergencies, and assisting with snow removal and landscaping. CPR/AED certification preferred; growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• CPR/AED, First Aid certified or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
• janitorial or cleaning background experiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an overall clean and orderly condition in and around the facility.
• Set-ups for rentals, tournaments, leagues, events, etc.
• Respond to spills, emergencies or requests in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs including plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and facility upkeep.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the RFC Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the Building Custodian will be responsible for the cleanliness and general appearance and upkeep of the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club (RFC). The Custodian will work alone or in a team as the night crew lead to clean and prepare the facility for the next day. The Custodian may set-up and clear rooms for rentals and programs taking place within the facility. The Custodian may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated above.
