Job summary

St. Mary's Parish and Schools in Annapolis, MD seeks a Custodian for Parish and Schools. The Custodian will join our Facilities team responsible for cleaning both the schools and churches.

Driver's license required with vehicle for transport to campuses. Reports to Facilities Manager and collaborates with facilities staff. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Maryland driver's license with no more than 3 points.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards for cleaning equipment preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow directions of supervisor.
• Ability to climb stairs while carrying equipment.
• Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in heat, cold, snow and rain.

Responsibilities

• Cleans church, parish office, community spaces, and school buildings.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors as needed, replenishing restroom supplies.
• Washes walls and windows, removes dust and debris as needed.
• Select equipment and materials for cleaning, replenishes supplies in buildings as needed.
• Removes trash from inside the buildings and from the grounds.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks such as replacing filters and bulbs.

The Custodian will be part of our Facilities team that is responsible for cleaning both the schools and the churches. Candidate will need to possess a driver's license and have a vehicle for transportation to our other campuses. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and works collaboratively with other facilities staff. Must have availability to respond to on-call emergencies. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00, Hourly
