Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Waco, TX is seeking a dedicated janitorial professional to maintain daily cleanliness and order of the building. You will clean and sanitize bathrooms, dust fixtures, and ensure supplies are stocked while supporting overall facility upkeep.

The role requires ability to lift heavy objects, operate cleaning equipment safely, and work independently under day shifts. Consideration for benefits and a stable full-time schedule is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Six months of janitorial/general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Job Location: TX-Waco AC - Waco, TX 76703, Position Type: Full Time Regular, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Property, This position is responsible for:

Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the building to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

Facilities Cleaning Responsibilities (100%)

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors; sweeps sidewalks.
• Cleans windows; dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures. Empty trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds and cleans trash cans. Oversees and directs the work of community service workers.
• Assesses and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc.
• Assists in setting up meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks.

Other Responsibilities:

• Performs light grounds keeping responsibilities including watering plants as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of effective cleaning and sanitizing practices, general building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures including proper safety precautions.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning duties, minor repairs, and maintenance activities of buildings and grounds.
• Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools effectively and in a safe manner.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform the needed janitorial work.
• Duties are performed standing and requires squatting, climbing, bending and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.
• Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.
