Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu, HI is seeking a diligent Custodian to join our team. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to keep our facilities clean and orderly.

You will perform floor care, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, and stock supplies, with a schedule Friday to Tuesday 1:00 PM–9:30 PM and a 40-hour workweek; compensation is $18.25 per hour. You must be able to move large dumpsters independently and report any maintenance needs to management.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and hand tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust and sanitize surfaces including windows and mirrors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
• Stock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, parking lot, dog park, and surroundings of assigned areas.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a diligent and reliable Custodian to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities.

• Employment Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Friday to Tuesday: 1:00PM - 9:30PM
• Hourly pay rate: $18.25
• Number of Hours: 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Dust and clean surfaces, including windows and mirrors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste
• Stock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, parking lot, dog park, and the surroundings of the assigned areas.
• Must be capable of independently moving large green trash dumpsters.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to management
• Perform other assigned duties by your supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous Experience In Janitorial Or Custodial Work Preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
