Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a diligent Custodian to join our team in Honolulu. The role involves cleaning and maintaining facilities during a 40-hour work week, Friday through Tuesday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and stock replenishment. The successful candidate will operate cleaning equipment, work independently, and uphold a safe, clean environment in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust and clean surfaces, including windows and mirrors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste.
• Stock supplies in restrooms and designated areas.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.
• Clean common areas such as lobbies and parking areas.
• Move large green dumpsters independently.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a diligent and reliable Custodian to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities.

Employment Details

Full-time

Friday to Tuesday: 1:00PM – 9:30PM

$18.25 per hour

40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Dust and clean surfaces, including windows and mirrors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste
• Stock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, parking lot, dog park, and the surroundings of the assigned areas.
• Must be capable of independently moving large green trash dumpsters.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to management
• Perform other assigned duties by your supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications
