Job summary

ProMach, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to maintain cleanliness across our facilities in Hauppauge, NY. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, including offices, conference rooms, break areas, and restrooms, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months of janitorial experience, and a mechanical aptitude. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

• Mechanical aptitude is expected to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and janitorial duties.
• Daily cleaning of facilities.
• Clean breakroom tables, microwaves, sinks, and floors.
• Sweep and clean floors; buff if necessary; remove oils and stains.
• Clean all bathrooms and stock toilet paper and towels; mop floors.
• Clean fingerprints from front doors and water dispensers.
• Clean all offices and conference rooms; check desktops for spills.
• Empty all waste containers; maintain cleaning logs daily.
• Perform minor repairs to building and minor plumbing tasks.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials and request supplies when needed.

What are we looking for?

• This critical role has responsibilities for cleaning and maintaining proper housekeeping throughout our building (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, windows, restroom cleaning, polishing furniture and fixtures, etc.).
• You will need to keep the kitchen and bathroom area clean and organized.
• You will need to ensure all conference rooms are cleaned, prepared and ready for our customers.

Job Description:

• Clean all offices (check desktops for spills)
• Clean Conference Rooms
• Empty all waste containers
• Perform minor repairs to building
• Minor plumbing repairs (ex-Unclogging toilets if necessary)
• Maintain inventory of cleaning materials and request when necessary
• Keeping up with cleaning logs daily

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 6 months of janitorial/custodial experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow all job safety requirements
• Dependable and punctual
• Self-motivated
• Ability to successfully multitask
• Good organizational skills
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (not necessary)
