New Horizon Family Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform routine cleaning and custodial duties for the Greenville Center.

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff in multiple spaces, following OSHA guidelines and safety procedures. Responsibilities include disinfecting treatment rooms, restocking supplies, and responding promptly to cleaning requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience as a Housekeeper/Custodian.
• Familiar with infectious waste disposal procedures.
• Able to read and understand safety/chemical labels (SDS).
• Able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsabilités

• Maintains cleanliness of restrooms and ensures supplies (soap, towels, tissue).
• Disinfects medical treatment rooms daily per guidelines.
• Responds to clean-up/environmental requests promptly.
• Maintains stock control of departmental supplies.
• Performs heavy mopping, stripping, and waxing of hallways and bathrooms as needed.
• Performs detailed cleaning of treatment rooms and work areas as needed.
• Empties waste receptacles daily and changes bags.

NOTE: New Horizon Family Health Services operates multiple locations throughout Greenville, Greer, Travelers Rest, and Berea. Candidate placement and worksite assignments will be determined at the discretion of the Executive Team, based on organizational needs and operational priorities.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, the Custodian performs a variety of routine domestic cleaning and custodial duties for New Horizon Family Health Services, Inc. Responsible for the overall environmental cleanliness and safety of the Center.

Duties Performed

• Maintains cleanliness of restrooms and assures the availability of soap, hand towels, toilet and facial tissue, etc.
• On a daily basis, disinfects medical treatment rooms in strict accordance with established guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Responds immediately to request for clean-up/environmental assistance.
• Assists in maintaining adequate stock control of departmental supplies.
• Completes heavy mopping, stripping, and waxing of halls and bathroom facilities as needed.
• Completes detailed cleaning of medical treatment rooms and work areas as needed.
• Empties waste receptacles and changes receptacle bags on a daily basis.
• Follows OSHA guidelines for cleaning patient care areas, laboratory and other areas of the facility.
• Follows OSHA guidelines for handling infectious waste and hazardous material.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION:
  • PREFERRED:
    • High School graduate or GED preferred
• EXPERIENCE:
  • REQUIRED:
    • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Housekeeper/Custodian.

Other Requirements

• Must be familiar with infectious waste disposal procedures.
• Must be capable of understanding and carrying out routine instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand safety/chemical labels and safety data sheets.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as work hours may not always be uniform
• Must be familiar with operating various cleaning equipment (i.e.: vacuum cleaners, buffers)
• Must have the physical capacity to perform required tasks.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Must have a pleasant personality; must be dependent.
