Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking an experienced, cheerful Custodian to maintain offices, breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas at two yard locations. Light travel between sites may be required, and outdoor work is possible in all seasons.

The role emphasizes following company standards, performing cleaning tasks, and identifying when repairs are needed to keep facilities safe and orderly. Reliability and willingness to travel between sites are important.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year custodial experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external facility conditions per company standards.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, restock common areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms.
• Identify needed repairs and inform General Manager.
• Perform maintenance like replacing HVAC filters, changing bulbs, and ceiling tiles.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Ensure ongoing cleanliness of all areas.
• Keep supply closets neat and orderly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.

SA Recycling is looking for a experienced, cheerful, and dependable Custodian who takes pride in their work. As a Custodian you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our offices, breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas as set forth by company standards. In performing these duties, you may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons.

The work for this position will be split to two different yard. Light traveling required.

Responsibilities of a Custodian

• Maintain internal and external facility conditions as set forth by company standards and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and restock common areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms.
• Identify needed repairs to facilities and properties and bring to the attention of the General Manager.
• Perform general maintenance functions such as replacing HVAC filters, changing light bulbs, and replacing damaged ceiling tiles, etc.
• Maintain adequate inventory of all cleaning supplies and materials.
• Continuously monitor and address all common areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms for cleanliness.
• Keep supply closets and storage areas neat and orderly.
• Regular and punctual attendance are essential job functions.

Qualifications of a Custodian

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-year previous custodial experience.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.
