Job summary

Aafes in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a dependable janitorial associate to maintain the interior cleanliness of Exchange facilities. Under general supervision, you will operate industrial cleaning equipment and ladders, keeping restrooms, floors, breakrooms, windows, and doors in top condition.

You will also engage customers to promote Military Star Credit Card and support stock unloading and merchandise stocking as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Elementary school. Creditable job-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a 9 months for 9 months basis.
• In addition, the minimum qualifications may be lowered if not enough qualified candidates apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, sweep, mop, empty trash, breakrooms, windows, and glass doors.
• Clean underneath food equipment; use leaf blowers, weed wackers and pressure washer to clean the outside of the facility; assist with unloading trucks and stocking merchandise.

Additional Qualifications/Requirements

• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT SUNDAY-THURSDAY BETWEEN 7:30AM-7:00PM.


• DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, CLEANING RESTROOMS, SWEEPING, MOPPING, EMPTYING AND TAKING OUT THE TRASH, CLEANING THE BREAKROOMS, WINDOWS, AND GLASS DOORS.


• CLEANING UNDERNEATH FOOD EQUIPMENT, USING LEAF BLOWERS, WEED WACKERS, AND PRESSURE WASHER TO CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF THE FACILITY, WILL ALSO ASSIST WITH OFFLOADING TRUCKS AND STOCKING MERCHANDISE, ETC.
