Job summary

Aafes in Fort Lee, NJ seeks a diligent janitorial associate to maintain the interior cleanliness of Exchange facilities using industrial equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies.

You must be able to work any shift from 6 AM to 8 PM, including weekends, and you may be asked to promote the Military Star Credit Card to customers to support sales and loyalty.

• Responsibility for cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, cleaning windows/doors, sweeping, mopping and buffing floors.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of janitorial and custodial duties which are related to the general appearance and cleanliness of the interior of Exchange facilities, using industrial type powered equipment and ladders/scaffolds. Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star Credit Card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty

Job Qualifications

Education: Elementary school. Creditable job-related experience maybe substituted for the education requirement on a 9 months for 9 months basis.

If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.

Additional Qualifications/Requirements

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFTS BETWEEN 6AM-8PM TO INCLUDE WEEKENDS. RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING RESTROOMS TO INCLUDE EMPLOYEES & CUSTOMERS, EMPTYING TRASH,CLEANING WINDOWS, DOORS, SWEEPING, MOPPING, AND BUFFING FLOORS, ETC.
