Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia is seeking a Custodian Lead to supervise a cleaning crew at Fort Bragg under a government contract. You will oversee time schedules, transport team members, ensure OSHA and security compliance, and maintain high quality standards.

The role requires a valid driver's license, six months custodial experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will mentor new staff, train on cleaning procedures, and respond to supervisor requests while ensuring contract specifications

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial experience preferred
• Custodial training desired
• Van driving experience preferred
• Candidates with disabilities preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cleaning operations and supervise crew on site
• Transport team, supplies, and equipment between buildings
• Train newly hired custodians and report quality of work
• Ensure compliance with contract specs and safety policies
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as disinfecting restrooms and surfaces
• Report facilities issues to supervisor promptly
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items
• Assist with special events setup and breakdown
