Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a Custodial Supervisor / Lead(Custodial) in Bay Minette, AL. This full-time role covers 1st and 2nd shifts and leads custodial staff to maintain clean, safe educational facilities.

The position requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience, custodial knowledge, basic mechanical skills, and solid communication abilities. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will ensure safety compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
• Custodial knowledge, computer literacy, basic mechanical knowledge.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily custodial work and safety in the area.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor work to ensure quality and productivity.
• Train employees on safety and PPE; address safety issues.
• Investigate accidents and report injuries.
• Provide on-the-job training for equipment and chemical usage.
• Continuing training using on-the-job coaching methods.
• Manage equipment and supplies; coordinate with management on inventory.
• Communicate requests and work orders clearly.
• Assist with building emergencies and major cleaning projects.
• Discipline and counsel staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
