Job summary

Cinema Carousel in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Custodial/Cleaning Crew Lead to supervise the cleaning team and ensure a safe, clean facility for guests and staff. You will work with the early morning crew, manage supplies, and perform light maintenance while upholding our service values.

The role requires 2+ years cleaning experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience, with a typical 6:00am start and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cleaning experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience required.
• Flexible schedule - Typical start time is 6:00am.
• Ability to work 8+ hours on feet and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead the custodial crew in daily cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Coach and direct staff to maintain a healthy, positive workplace and core values.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of new staff.
• Schedule staff to maximize labor efficiency.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager and Theatre Management on cleaning plans.
• Order cleaning supplies and PPE per OSHA regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and liaise with vendors as needed.
• Handle routine maintenance such as light repairs and seasonal tasks.
• Participate in snow removal and landscaping as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Cinema Carouselin Muskegon is looking for a Custodial/Cleaning Crew Lead who will be responsible for overseeing all cleaning within our building. In this role, you will serve as a working supervisor, working alongside the early morning cleaning crew, to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable facility for our employees and guests. You will manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and perform light maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work alongside and lead the custodial crew in daily cleaning and assist with routine maintenance procedures
• Provide coaching and direct custodial crew with the intention of maintaining a healthy, positive workplace that encourages our core values: Service,Empathy, Courage, Trust and Playfulness
• Assist with the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new staff
• Schedule custodial staff to maximize labor efficiency
• Partner with Facilities Mgr. and Theatre Mgmt. to develop plans and strategies for cleaning and maintenance of the building and to communicate/collaborate on needs and ideas to improve culture and overall appearance of the building
• Order maintenance and cleaning supplies, including proper protection equipment, in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Perform pro-active routine inspections of the building and grounds with the intent of issuing repair and preventing potential concerns
• Collaborate with vendors, management, and cleaning staff at other locations to ensure compliance and consistency
• Perform routine maintenance that includes, but is not limited to seat repair, light bulb replacement, minor equipment repairs, power washing, etc.
• Perform seasonal duties such as landscaping and snow removal, as needed
• All other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of cleaning experience required
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience required
• Flexible schedule - Typical start time is 6:00am
• Ability to work 8 or more hours on feet per shift and be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and frequently lift as much as 50 lbs.
• Maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, quickly and efficiently, solve problems, and take initiative
